Welcome to cognition associates Management Competency Indicator webpage
The Management Competency Indicator (MCI) is a questionnaire that must be completed by participants who have enrolled in the Mt Eliza Centre for Executive Education, Melbourne Business School, Certificate and Diploma of Business that cognition associates offers under licence. The MCI seeks feedback from you (Self) and five observers of your behaviour (Manager, Team Members or Co-workers) at work. The MCI behaviours are grouped into five main clusters of work behaviour:
- Managing Self
- Managing Climate
- Managing People
- Managing Process
- Managing Performance
You and the observers that you seek feedback from are only required to complete the Actual (Does Do) behaviour in the questionnaire that follows. The Ideal (Should Do) behaviours have been set at a default setting of "to a great extent" on the basis that they are expected to be demonstrated by a team leader consistently and competently whenever the situation demands it.
Once you have completed the questionnaire you will be asked to enter the email addresses of the five observers and on completing your request they will automatically be asked to provide feedback on that same behaviours. Please ensure that the email address is entered accurately. When all observers have completed the questionnaire your MCI Report will be automatically generated and forwarded to cognition associates. You will receive a copy of your MCI Report at the first session of the Diploma of Business Program to help you develop a Learning Plan. At the completion of the Diploma Program you will be required to seek feedback again from five observers to identify the behaviour change that has resulted from the learning you have gained during the Program.
